Since 1938, the Department of Radiology/Imaging has had one mission…

Providing outstanding care for patients while producing the highest quality imaging for our referring physicians.

A professional team of Diagnostic Imaging Technologists, Radiologists, Physician Assistants, Nurses and Ancillary Support staff work in concert to use state-of-the-art technology to provide diagnostic images, reports and therapeutic interventions with compassion and care.

The Radiology/Imaging Department at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center combines the clinical expertise of over eighteen American College of Radiology (ACR) Board Certified Radiologists with the latest imaging technology available. The first in Connecticut to offer Dual Energy/128 Slice CT Scanning, 64 Slice PET/CT Scanner, Digital Flat Detector Bi-Plane Angiography, CyberKnife Treatment planning and the recipient of the Connecticut Quality Initiative Award for Picture, Archive and Communication Systems (PACS), the department is well positioned to offer patients and clinicians one of the most advanced imaging services in the Northeast.

In partnership with the Saint Francis/Mount Sinai Regional Cancer Center and the The Hoffman Heart and Vascular Institute at Saint Francis, our fellowship-trained radiologists work closely to offer advanced imaging and treatments. Performing over 200,000 exams annually, these distinguished specialists have the experience to meet all aspects of contemporary radiological diagnoses.

Accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR), The Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Nuclear Medicine Laboratories (ICANL) and The Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories ( ICAVL), our commitment to providing the greatest advancements in imaging shines through.
