Dr. Anthony Morgan is recognized for pioneering and developing the interdisciplinary Brain Injury Program at Mount Sinai, helping provide exceptional service to these patients. 

The Brain Injury Program at Mount Sinai provides the best-developed continuum of brain injury care in Connecticut, transitioning patients seamlessly from ICU to inpatient to outpatient through the cooperation of therapists and physicians who provide care in all three settings.

In 2014, Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center dedicates The Dr. Anthony S. Morgan Trauma Center at Saint Francis.  


The outpatient rehabilitation staff at 95 Woodland Street is again awarded the Outcome Excellence Award from Focus on Therapeutic Outcomes (F.O.T.O.) for exceeding the predicted national targets for outcomes and patient satisfaction over a one-year period.


Actor Henry Winkler, best known for his role as “the Fonz,” made a special appearance at Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital. Mr. Winkler spoke to staff and patients to raise awareness about stroke and its effects.

In collaboration with the National Spinal Cord Injury Assocation, Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital begins providing the Powerful Tools for Caregivers Program, a nationally-recognized program offering caregivers self-care tools that help them communicate more effectively in the healthcare environment with family members and patients.

The Mandell MS Center hosts the first-ever international symposium, The MS BRAIN, at the Connecticut Convention Center. Clinicians, researchers, and patients gather from around the world to attend this event.

Work continues through 2013 to further enhance the comprehensive range of programs offered through Mount Sinai, with an increased focus on new health and wellness initiatives, fitness programs, and the addition of integrative medicine modalities to help support the healing process.
