The School of Cardiac Ultrasound at Saint Francis has been nationally accredited by the JRC-DMS and CAAHEP since 2003. It is recognized as one of the most successful programs in the country. Since becoming accredited, the school has had a 100% pass rate on the national exams, with students consistently scoring the highest grade average on the CCI national exams. This is a one-year,  full time (7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.) certificate program encompassing the academic and clinical instruction of cardiac ultrasound. Specialty areas of transthorasic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiography are covered. Classes begin in October. Saint Francis is also pleased to offer an additional six-month program for registered cardiac sonographers leading to certification in pediatric ultrasound. Pediatric classes begin in October and April.
