(Hartford, Conn. March 21, 2011) – George Moore, M.D., M.Sc., of Glastonbury, has rejoined Saint Francis Occupational Health as Medical Director of the practice’s Windsor clinic, located at 100 Deerfield Road.
He joins Indrek Melder, M.D., and James Mazo, M.D., in the practice, giving the Occupational Health program a complement of three Medical Directors who are each Board Certified in Occupational/Preventive Medicine to serve this busy and growing service line.
Saint Francis Occupational Health provides acute care treatment for work-related injuries and illnesses. As a specialty provider, its mission is to treat injured employees and return them to work as quickly and safely as possible. It is staffed by board certified physicians, certified occupational health nurses, orthopedic physical therapists, and x-ray technicians. It serves the community through its main office, in Hartford, and satellite offices located in Windsor, Torrington, Manchester, Newington, and Bristol.
Dr. Moore completed his residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York, and received a Master’s in Science and Community Medicine from the same institution. He received his medical degree from University Autonomous of Santo Domingo, in the Dominican Republic.
Board Certified in Occupational Medicine and General Preventive Medicine and Public Health, Dr. Moore is a certified medical review officer. He is a member of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, and the American College of Preventive Medicine. He is fluent in Spanish.
Dr. Moore served as Medical Director of the Saint Francis Occupational Medicine clinic from 2003 to 2008. He most recently was associated with Concentra Health Services, Springfield, Mass.
Indrek Melder, M.D., who had been serving as the Medical Director of the Saint Francis Occupational Health office in Windsor, has now relocated to the Saint Francis Occupational Health office located at 1598 East Main St., Torrington. Dr. Melder is Board Certified in Preventive and Occupational Medicine.
James Mazo, M.D., who serves as Medical Director of the Saint Francis Occupational Health office, located at 114 Woodland St., Hartford, on the Saint Francis campus, is also Board Certified in Preventive and Occupational Medicine.
