SAINT FRANCIS NAMES NORTH CAMPUS ENGINEERING MANAGER David A. Hayes, C.E.M., To Fill Position

(HARTFORD, Conn., Feb. 8, 2010) - David A. Hayes, C.E.M., of Tolland, has been named Site Manager for Engineering at the North Campus of Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center.

In his new position, Hayes will be responsible for environmental engineering including the physical plant, energy management and building systems on the Hospital';s North Campus, which includes Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital and the Burgdorf/Bank of America Health Center.

Hayes has more than 25 years of experience in facilities management and is certified as an Energy Manager (CEM) by the Association of Energy Engineers. He holds an associate's degree in building facilities technology from Capital College (formerly known as Hartford State Technical College) and is a graduate of the HVAC training program at Technical Careers Institute, Windsor.

Hayes most recently served as Director of Facilities Management at CB Richard Ellis Company and Trammell Crow Company. He previously was employed by the Travelers Insurance Company as Building Operations Manager.

He is a member of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) and the Building Owners and Managers Association.

Founded in 1897, Saint Francis is a major teaching hospital licensed for 617 acute inpatient beds and 65 bassinets. It is the largest Catholic hospital in New England.
