SUDEEP BANSAL, M.D., JOINS SAINT FRANCIS Specialist in Hospital Medicine

(HARTFORD, Conn., July 20, 2009) - Sudeep Bansal, M.D., of Hartford, has joined the Medical and Dental Staff of Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center.

Dr. Bansal received his medical degree from Kasturba Medical College (Manipal Academy of Higher Education), Mangalore, India. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Caritas Carney Hospital/Tufts University School of Medicine, Boston.

Board eligible in internal medicine, he is a member of the American College of Physicians and American Medical Association.

Dr. Bansal will practice as a hospitalist and a member of Saint Francis Medical Group, Inc. A full-time faculty member with Saint Francis' Department of Medicine, he will be involved in teaching rounds with medical students and residents.

Founded in 1897, Saint Francis is a major teaching hospital licensed for 617 acute inpatient beds and 65 bassinets. It is the largest Catholic hospital in New England.
