Daniel S. Schwartz, M.D., F.A.C.S., Joins Saint Francis 250(Hartford, Conn. April 14, 2015) – Daniel S. Schwartz, M.D., F.A.C.S., a specialist in undersea and hyperbaric medicine, has joined the medical staff of Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center as the Medical Director of the Wound and Hyperbaric Medicine Program. 

Dr. Schwartz earned his medical degree from Chicago Medical School, Ill.  He completed his internship and residency in general surgery at Long Island Jewish–Hillside Medical Center, New Hyde Park, N.Y.  Dr. Schwartz also finished a post-doctoral fellowship in cardiovascular surgery at Methodist Hospital, Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas. 

Board certified by the American Board of Surgery, Dr. Schwartz is also board certified in Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine.  He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society and the American College of Hyperbaric Medicine.  At Saint Francis, Dr. Schwartz is practicing as a member of Saint Francis Medical Group.
