Adam R. Silverman, M.D., FACP, Named as Vice President, Ambulatory Strategy and Development

Adam R. Silverman, M.D., FACP, Named as Vice President,  Ambulatory Strategy and Development(Hartford, Conn. January 6, 2015) – Saint Francis Care has named Adam R. Silverman, M.D., FACP, as Vice President, Ambulatory Strategy and Development. 

In this new role, Dr. Silverman will oversee the Hospital’s ambulatory planning and care delivery efforts, including outpatient services, post-acute care and FastCare retail clinics. He will continue to provide oversight of the Primary Care Service Line and the Connecticut Institute for Primary Care Innovation (CIPCI). 

Dr. Silverman joined Saint Francis in 2012 as Physician Executive, Primary Care Service Line and Outreach Section Leader, Connecticut Institute for Primary Care Innovation. 

Dr. Silverman is an associate professor of medicine at the University of Connecticut Health Center, John Dempsey Hospital.  He was also president of the Medical Staff at John Dempsey Hospital from 2006-2011. While at John Dempsey Hospital he served in numerous administrative and educational roles, including Chair of the Clinical Council, member of the Dean’s Council, Associate Program Director - Primary Care Internal Medicine Residency Program. 

Dr. Silverman is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, was elected as a Saint Francis Care Faculty Fellow, and received the American College of Physicians CT Chapter Laureate Award in 2010. 

Dr. Silverman received his medical degree from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine.  He completed his internship in internal medicine at Primary Care Track Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago, IL, where he was also chief medical resident.
