(Hartford, Conn.  September 26, 2014) – Saira I. Rani, M.D., of Avon, a family medicine physician, has joined the medical staff at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center.  Her scope of practice includes obstetrics, pediatrics and adult internal medicine. 

Dr. Rani received her medical degree from American University of the Caribbean, St. Marteen, Netherlands Antilles.  She completed her residency in family medicine at the University Of Illinois College Of Medicine at Chicago.  

Dr. Rani is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. At Saint Francis, she is practicing as a member of the Family Medicine Center at East Hartford.
