- Saint Francis Care for Women
Located on Asylum Avenue, Saint Francis Care for Women provides needed medical services to all women and their families regardless of their ability to pay. Programs include Childbirth Preparation & Refresher Classes, "Bringing Up Baby" for new mothers, Sibling Class for 3-to-8 year olds, "Safesitter" Babysitting Instruction, CPR for Infants, gynecologic services and obstetric services.
- Burgdorf/Fleet Health Center
This Coventry Street center provides another convenient location for women to access a full complement of obstetrics and gynecologic care from Saint Francis professionals.
- Free Flu Shots and Health Screenings
In addition to services provided through HealthCheck, Saint Francis provides free flu shots as well as screenings for blood pressure, cholesterol and skin cancer at health fairs and clinics throughout Greater Hartford.
- Better Breathers Support Group
Chronic lung conditions can strike anyone of any age. Saint Francis offers special assistance by offering pulmonary medicine services at Better Breathers, a support group which meets monthly in West Hartford.
- The Growing Tree Early Learning Center
Quality day care is one of today’s most pressing needs among working women. The Growing Tree Early Learning Center on Garden Street is the result of a collaborative effort by Saint Francis, MassMutual and the Greater Hartford YWCA. The need was identified by PAVE (Parents Against a Violent Environment). The YWCA operates the center.
- Saint Francis Speakers Bureau
Sharing knowledge is one of the most powerful ways to promote health. The Saint Francis Speakers Bureau coordinates a regular program of educational lectures, offering tips and advice to hundreds of Hartford area residents.
