The Valencia Society recognizes those people who remember Saint Francis in their estate plan through a bequest by Will, Life Insurance, Real Estate, Retirement Accounts and various Life Income Vehicles.
The Valencia Society was established to honor Mother Ann Valencia and her small group of Sisters of Saint Joseph of Chambery who founded Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center over 100 years ago.
Chaired by former Governor and Mrs. William O'Neill, the Valencia Society is the philanthropic cornerstone of our second century; the foundation upon which the continued growth and leadership of Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center will be built.
The Valencia Society

Mother
Ann Valencia
In 1897, Mother Ann Valencia and her small group of Sisters of Saint Joseph of Chambéry arrived in Hartford with a mission - to establish a hospital to honor that most gentle and compassionate saint, Saint Francis deSales. Today, more than a hundred years later, we have created a unique philanthropic society to honor the dedication and industry of Mother Ann Valencia. We call this select group The Valencia Society.
