For those with a diagnosis of breast cancer within the last 2 years. Meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 5:15-6:45 pm. Free. Light refreshments and parking validation provided. American Cancer Society's Reach to Recovery
This program allows breast cancer survivors to meet one-on-one with
patients to answer non medical questions and offer practical advice.
This program is free of charge.
Health Learning Center
Offers free health information for patients through a variety of
media (books, magazines, Internet access, videos, electronic databases).
Located just off the second floor of the Collins Street Parking Garage,
the HLC has professional staff available to help guide you and answer
questions you may have.
Lymphedema Therapy
This program was designed to decrease arm swelling that can sometimes
occur after breast surgery. Offered through The Rehabilitation Hospital
of Connecticut, this therapy entails manual lymph drainage, conditioning
exercises and individualized fitting for compression sleeves.
