Thrombectomy of a Saphenous Vein Coronary Bypass Graft

The use of a new thrombectomy aspiration device: Angiojet is
demonstrated in a patient with unstable angina due to an occluded saphenous
vein bypass graft to the obtuse marginal branch of the circumflex coronary
artery. The left figure shows the occluded vein graft with a steerable
guide wire advanced to its distal segment. Following multiple passes using
the Angiojet, flow is reestablished in the vein graft (center), with
residual stenosis. The right figure demonstrates the angiographic results
following balloon angioplasty and stent deployment.
