Avon Walk-In Center Announces Affiliation with Saint Francis (November 5, 1998)

(AVON, Conn.) -- The Avon Medical Group, located at 30 West Avon Road, is affiliating its walk-in center with Saint Francis Care, a statewide network of hospitals and other health care providers.
The Avon Medical Group provides primary medical care, acute care treatment through its walk-in center and full-time subspecialty care in cardiology and nephrology. The walk-in center's affiliation with Saint Francis Care provides patients with a broader base of specialists and hospitals.
As part of the new affiliation, the walk-in center has undergone a renovation and refurbishing project designed to make the facility more attractive and comfortable for patients and their families.
Open houses are scheduled at the walk-in center from Monday, Nov. 16 through Friday, Nov. 20, from 3 to 5 p.m. and on Saturday, Nov. 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Free blood pressure and cholesterol screenings will be available.
