Physician Sketch: Virginia Maria Tjan-Wettstein, M.D. graduated from Ross University School of Medicine in 1991 and served as an Intern and Resident in Internal Medicine at Danbury Hospital. She completed a Fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at the University of Connecticut Medical School in 1997 and joined the Saint Francis/Mount Sinai Regional Cancer in 1997. In the fall of 2001 she became a full-time member of the Saint Francis Care Cancer Program at Bristol Hospital. Her goal is to build the program at Bristol Hospital into a comprehensive regional program that brings to the community all the novel advances and treatment strategies, that are available at the Saint Francis/Mount Sinai Regional Cancer Center. Dr. Wettstein is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology and Hematology and holds a faculty appointment as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. |
