Physician Sketch: Deborah Ann Sculco, MD, a graduate of St. Georges University, served as an Intern and Resident in Internal Medicine at the University of Connecticut Health Center and New Britain General Hospital. She completed a Fellowship Program in Hematology and Medical Oncology at the University of Connecticut in 1995. Dr. Sculco is a Diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine and its Subspecialty Boards in Medical Oncology and Hematology. After private practice as a Hematology/Oncologist, Dr. Sculco joined the Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in 1999 as an Attending Physician at the Saint Francis/Mount Sinai Regional Cancer Center. In November 2001, she became the Site Chief of the Saint Francis Care Regional Cancer Program at Bristol Hospital. Her goal is not only to build and direct a modern oncology program in a community hospital setting, but to integrate this program with the Comprehensive Oncology Program of the Saint Francis/Mount Sinai Regional Cancer Center so that all the advances, new concepts, and novel therapies can be made available to the program at Bristol Hospital. |
