Peter Sandor, PA-C started his medical career as a volunteer EMT on the Pompton Lakes-Riverdale First Aid Squad at the age of 16. He later graduated cum laude from Quinnipiac College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Respiratory Care in 1997. Peter then worked as a registered respiratory therapist at Yale-New Haven Hospital, spending most of his time in the ICU. After a stint as a traveling respiratory therapist in New Jersey and Florida, he returned to Quinnipiac University to become a Physician Assistant, graduating with distinction in his Master of Health Science degree. While a student he spent much of his free time as a volunteer at the Hartford Homeless Shelter and with migrant farm workers in Windsor, CT, and as a teacher in health promotion and disease prevention. His research focus is in mechanical ventilation and sedation in critical care. |
