Physician Sketch: Dr. Joerg Rathmann, a native of Germany, received his MD from the University of Muenster in 1988, and after Residency Training in Internal Medicine in Germany and Birmingham, Alabama, completed a Fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology. Dr. Rathmann joined the Saint Francis Cancer Center in November 2002 as an Attending Physician and will be the Lead Medical Oncologist for the Lung Cancer Program. He is interested in translational research and wants to apply principles of chemo-radio sensitization and in cell regulation and clinical trials for cancers of the lung and upper gastrointestinal tract. |
