Internship Program
Paid opportunity to enhance your knowledge and clinical experience
The Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center Internship Program is designed to enrich the lives of student nurses entering their senior year. Experience the compassionate care and superior technology in our Centers of Clinical Excellence in a supportive learning environment. Nursing students will observe patient care working with a registered nurse.
Objectives
The program will provide students with the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge to the clinical setting by:
- Increasing the ability to function within
multiple Health Care Teams
- Enhancing interpersonal skills
- Observe clinical area of choice
Requirements
- Current student, in good standing, in an
accredited Nursing Program
- Successful completion of the medical/surgical
rotation
- Two letters of recommendation from clinical
program faculty
- Official transcript
- Successful completion of the SFHMC application
process
- Successful completion of orientation and validation of skills required
Opportunities Beyond Internship Program
- Per Diem employment during the school year
- Employment after graduation at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center
