The annual Critical Care Fellowship is an established six-month program. It is designed to provide new graduates of baccalaureate or higher degree programs with the opportunity to develop clinical and professional skills necessary to be competent in the following areas:
- Emergency Department
- Cardiac Intensive Care Unit
- Medical Intensive Care Unit
- Intermediate Care
- Post Anesthesia Care Unit
Curriculum includes:
- Competency-based orientation with a clinical preceptor in a variety of clinical settings.
- Formal classes, tutorials, computerized assisted learning and other learning experiences to facilitate professional development within the Saint Francis Care System
- Ongoing evaluations of progress through meetings with the clinical nurse specialist, nurse manager and preceptor.
