Suffield Visiting Nurse Association
The Suffield Visiting Nurse Association was founded in 1903 to bring skilled nursing and health-related services to residents of Suffield and West Suffield. Today, the Suffield VNA is affiliated with Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center’s Home Health Agency. The merger marries the tradition of the Suffield VNA's trusted community home care with the exceptional treatment and modern technology available through Saint Francis. It ensures that the Suffield VNA will continue to provide skilled home care at a reasonable cost and that area residents will have access to additional services such as hospice care, medical and social services and a physician referral system. Suffield VNA provides skilled nursing care; IV therapy; homemaker/home health aide service; physical, speech and occupational therapy; nutrition counseling; medical social work; hospice and palliative care. Service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Working with the Suffield Emergency Aid Association, the Suffield VNA also provides blood pressure screenings, flu clinics and preschool vision and hearing screenings for the residents of Suffield and West Suffield.
