A Saint Francis Care partner, Saint Mary’s Hospital, in Waterbury, affiliated with Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in December 1996, further extending a regional system that delivers high quality, affordable health care. Founded in 1907, Saint Mary's is licensed for 347 adult, acute inpatient beds and 32 bassinets. Saint Mary's provides medical, surgical, psychiatric and maternity services. Community-based facilities include the Joseph Center, providing alcohol and drug abuse treatment; the Women's Center for Breast Health, providing mammography, screening and counseling; and a Health Services for Business and Industry Program, offering several health promotion and wellness programs to help employees develop and maintain healthier lifestyles; a Walk-In and Wellness Center.
