HOWARD A. GRAYSON, JR., M.D., JOINS SAINT FRANCIS Will Serve as Academic Hospitalist

(HARTFORD, Conn.) Howard A. Grayson, Jr., M.D., of Southington, has joined the Medical and Dental Staff of Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center.
Dr. Grayson received his medical degree from the Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, and served as an intern and resident in medicine at the University of Miami School of Medicine/Jackson Memorial Hospital and Affiliated Hospitals, Miami.
Prior to establishing a private practice in internal medicine, Dr. Grayson served as an internist in the U.S. Naval Reserve at the Naval Submarine Base, Groton, and held the rank of lieutenant commander. He most recently practiced as a member of Newington Primary Care.
A diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Grayson is a member of the national honor society Phi Beta Kappa and a fellow of the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Grayson has joined the practice of Woodland Physician Associates and will practice as an academic hospitalist, specializing in inpatient care. A full-time faculty member with Saint Francis Department of Medicine, he will be involved in teaching rounds with medical students and residents.
Founded in 1897, Saint Francis is a major teaching hospital licensed for 617 acute inpatient beds and 65 bassinets and is the largest Catholic hospital in New England.
