(HARTFORD, Conn.) -- Maura Murray, B.S.N., C.R.R.N., of Vernon, has been named Director of Nursing at Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital, a Saint Francis Care provider, and Connecticuts only acute care rehabilitation hospital.
A Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse, Murray is a graduate of the New England Deaconess School of Nursing, Boston, and received a bachelor of science in nursing degree from Northeastern University, Boston. She also completed studies at the University of Massachusetts, Boston, for certification in addiction counseling. She is currently enrolled in the master of business administration with health specialization program at Suffolk University, Boston.
Murray most recently served as Nurse Manager of the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Cape and Islands, East Sandwich, Mass. She previously held nursing positions at Stepping Stone, Inc., Fall River, Mass.; Dana Farber Cancer Research Institute, Boston; Uphams Corner Hospice, Dorchester, Mass.; and New England Deaconess Hospital, Boston.
Ms. Murray is a member of the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses, the Massachusetts Organization of Nurse Executives, the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses and the Sigma Epsilon Rho honor society. She is certified in crisis prevention intervention, basic life support and advanced life support.
Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital is a 60-bed comprehensive acute medical rehabilitation facility located on the Mount Sinai Campus of Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center. It offers major inpatient and outpatient programs in traumatic brain injury, stroke/neurological rehabilitation, sports medicine and general rehabilitation, including spinal cord injury and orthopedics.
