JOHN W. RODGERS, M.D., ELECTED SAINT FRANCIS STAFF PRESIDENT Will Serve Two-Year Term

(HARTFORD, Conn.) John W. Rodgers, M.D., of Farmington, has been elected President of the Medical and Dental Staff at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center.
Dr. Rodgers received his medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, and served as a resident in internal medicine and a fellow in pulmonary medicine at Saint Francis.
A fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians, Dr. Rodgers is board certified in internal medicine and pulmonary medicine. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the Connecticut State Medical Society and the Hartford County Medical Association.
A member of Saint Francis Attending Medical and Dental Staff since 1979, Dr. Rodgers most recently served as Vice President of the Staff. He is a member of the Sanctions Committee, and the Board of Directors of Qualidigm and previously served as the President of its Board of Directors.
Dr. Rodgers also previously served as President of the Board of Directors of the Hartford County Medical Association and as President of the Board of Directors of the Capitol Area Individual Practice Organization.
Founded in 1897, Saint Francis is a major teaching hospital licensed for 617 acute inpatient beds and 65 bassinets and is the largest Catholic hospital in New England.
