SAINT FRANCIS NAMES DIRECTOR OF PHARMACY PURCHASING, CENTRAL SERVICES Neil Claffey to Fill Position

(HARTFORD, Conn.) -- Neil Claffey, of Windsor Locks, has been named Director of Pharmacy Purchasing and Central Services at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center.
In his new position, he is responsible for developing and managing procurement functions for pharmacy purchases and distribution methods as well as overseeing operations related to supply automation in materials management. Claffey is also responsible for Central Services, which includes Patient Transportation.
Claffey joined Saint Francis in 1973, starting in the Admitting Department. He transferred to the Pharmacy in 1974, starting as a technician. While in the Pharmacy, he assumed the responsibilities of Senior Buyer and most recently served as Director of Pharmacy Purchasing.
Founded in 1897, Saint Francis is a major teaching hospital licensed for 617 acute inpatient beds and 65 bassinets and is the largest Catholic hospital in New England.
