Seventeenth Annual Gala

Another successful MIRACLES was held on Saturday, October 7, 2006 at the Connecticut Convention Center, Hartford.   The annual gala held by Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center exceeded all expectations both in terms of attendance and financial support, with approximately 1300 guests and $800,000 raised.

The funds generated this year were allocated towards New Beginnings Family Birth Care, a program that will redefine the birth experience through a new, family-centered model that will provide superior care with an innovative approach and renovated facilities. 

The evening boasted a new live auction, featuring international trips, local dining and entertainment and a sports event package, a silent wine auction including donated wines from private collections, and dancing to the nationally acclaimed Big City Swing Orchestra.

MIRACLES was first held in 1990 to celebrate the just-completed affiliation between Saint Francis Hospital and  Medical Center and Mount Sinai Hospital. Over the years, the gala has raised more than $7 million for a wide range of clinical and community-based beneficiaries.

A sincere thank you goes out to all volunteers, guests, sponsors, hospital staff and the many others who made this event possible. We look forward to seeing all of you at MIRACLES XVIII, again at the Connecticut Convention Center on September 15, 2007.
