Group Exercise

Class Descriptions
The following classes are included with your membership:

Circuit Training
This is an interval workout class which incorporates high intensity activities with recovery periods.

Cycling
This class utilizes a specially designed stationary bike for an interval based, motivating and invigorating workout.

Kickboxing
This class has a variety of kickboxing combinations that challenge your coordination and stamina, making and enthusiastic and energizing workout.

Pilates
This class is based on a program of core stability. It incorporates weight training, strength and endurance activities.

Power pump
This is a strength class that offers 5 minute intervals of weight training.

Step
This class offers a variety of movements on, off, over and around a height adjustable step.

Tone
This class is designed to include toning and firming with light weights and/or other resistance equipment.

Yoga
This is a Hatha-based program which incorporates breathing techniques and relates body movements to enhance flexibility, circulation, joint stability and muscle conditioning.

Light & Lively
This low-impact aerobic class is designed to increase cardiovascular and muscular endurance. The addition of light weight will help increase muscular strength and a variety of dance moves will be incorporated to give this class a little bit of flare. Designed for the active older adult but is geared for any age beginner.

PACE
“People with Arthritis Can Exercise” is an exercise program designed specifically by the Arthritis Foundation. Participants will go through a series of gentle movements and activities designed to increase mobility and range of motion. A properly designed and executed exercise program helps people with arthritis keep joints flexible, maintain muscle strength, and build overall stamina.

TAI CHI
Learn to relax and use your breathing. The slow, graceful moves of this art will increase your overall strength, balance and flexibility.

Integrative Yoga
This individualized, gentle style of yoga allows anyone to participate by modifying postures. The class includes breathing exercises, stretches, movements, and postures – where you stay in a position for several moments. This class allows for stress reduction, aids in healing, eases pain and offers many other benefits.
