Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center supports a comprehensive array of orthopedic services consisting of general orthopedic surgery, joint replacement services, spine care, sports medicine, hand surgery and trauma care. Through the hospital and its affiliate, The Rehabilitation Hospital of Connecticut, we provide a broad range of outpatient and inpatient therapy to orthopedic patients.

Orthopedics at Saint Francis includes a specialized post-surgical nursing unit and dedicated operating rooms. Inpatient surgery, representing approximately 1,100 cases annually, is complemented by a very active ambulatory surgery program. The orthopedic department comprises 19 physicians in 11 different groups with office locations throughout the greater Hartford region.
